Private Label Abaya Manufacturer: MOQ, Samples and Branding
A private label abaya manufacturer develops a garment for your brand, using your chosen design, fabric, fit and branding. If you are approaching an OEM manufacturer for the first time, the key questions are usually the same: What is the minimum order? Can you make a sample? Can you add my labels? How do I protect my design?
Here is how the process typically works at Tara Garment.
How does a private label abaya manufacturer set the MOQ?
The minimum order quantity is generally assessed per style and per color, with sizes mixed within that color. For many custom styles, the working range is approximately 50–100 pieces per style per color, depending on fabric, construction and trims. A request for 50 pieces divided among several different styles and colors is a different production plan and usually cannot be treated as one MOQ.
If several styles share the same fabric, we can assess the quantities together. Complex embroidery, custom colors and special trims may have their own supplier minimums. We confirm the workable quantity after reviewing the actual designs.

Why make a sample before a bulk order?
The first sample tests more than sewing quality. It checks the silhouette, coverage, fabric movement, sleeve construction, fit and decorative details. Reference images are useful, but they may not show the inside construction or exact measurements. A sample gives both sides a physical basis for revisions and costing.
Send a tech pack if you have one. If you only have sketches or reference images, include a size chart or fit reference, fabric preferences, color, branding requirements and the features that must match your concept. Some effects, especially detailed lace, embroidery or unusual closures, need a test before we can confirm the achievable result.
What private-label options are available?
Common options include woven main labels, size labels, care labels, hangtags and garment packaging. The label material, dimensions, placement and artwork should be approved before bulk production. Care label wording also needs to reflect the confirmed fabric composition and care requirements. A sample of the attached label helps you check both legibility and placement. Custom packaging may carry a separate supplier minimum, so it helps to discuss the complete branding plan early.

How are designs kept confidential?
As an OEM factory, we work from customers’ original designs. We do not freely circulate other brands’ styles as a catalog. We can discuss confidentiality requirements and arrange a video meeting to show relevant workmanship and factory capabilities without sharing a customer’s design files. This protects the same principle we would apply to your collection.
What determines the final unit price and lead time?
Before requesting prices at 50, 100 and 500 pieces, confirm whether each quantity refers to one style and color. A price estimate based on an unapproved fabric or an image alone may change after pattern making. Request a breakdown of what is included in the garment price and which items, such as special packaging or freight, are quoted separately.
Fabric consumption, lining, embroidery or beadwork, size range, trims, packaging and order quantity all affect cost. A reliable bulk quotation is easier after fabric and sample construction are confirmed. Sampling is commonly around two weeks for a regular style; more complex work can take longer. Bulk timing is planned after the pre-production details and deposit are confirmed, and supplier holidays can affect the schedule.
If you are planning a custom abaya collection, send Tara Garment your designs, target quantity for each style and color, size range and intended launch date. We can then advise on sampling, fabric sourcing and a realistic production plan.

Frequently asked questions
Can I mix sizes within one color?
Yes, a normal size breakdown can be planned within a style and color. Share the size range and desired quantities when requesting a quotation.
Can I order 50 pieces across five abaya designs?
That is generally below a workable custom-production quantity for each design. Send the proposed breakdown so we can assess it accurately.
Do you have a catalog of other customers’ abayas?
We mainly manufacture original designs for brands and protect customer confidentiality. A video meeting can help you assess our workmanship and development process.
